CHEM 2210/2210D - Organic Chemistry I Introduction to the structural theories, physical and chemical behavior, simple synthesis, basics of reaction mechanisms, and identification of compounds composed primarily of carbon and hydrogen. The critical thinking skills needed to apply this information to a wide variety of problems, both professional and societal, are strongly developed. Three lecture hours and one two-hour drill session per week. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1020/1020D or CHEM 1120/1120D . Corequisite(s): CHEM 2210 and CHEM 2210D must be taken concurrently. (3)
