HIST 3040 - History of Louisiana Examines and interprets the colonial roots of Louisiana, the challenge of Louisiana for the young Republic of the U.S., immigration and the antebellum experience, the crises of the Civil War and Reconstruction, impact of Longism, the petrochemical revolution and contemporary Louisiana.
