PHYS 1121 - General Physics I Usually offered fall and spring semesters. First of a three-course sequence (PHYS 1121-PHYS 2111 -PHYS 2121 ) for majors in physics and engineering treating the fundamental laws and principles of the various fields of physics: mechanics, relativity. Lecture and laboratory courses are integrated in a classroom equipped with computers, interfaced probes and traditional laboratory equipment that enhances the interactive learning, hands-on experiences and conceptual understanding of physics. Three two hour lecture/lab sessions and one one-hour problem session per week. Corequisite: MATH 1070 (4, FaSp)
