CPSC 1710 - Computer Science I Introduction to the fundamental concepts of programming. Topics include data types, expressions and statements, control structures, functions, lists, file input & output, and the mechanics of the edit-execute-debug cycle. The course provides an overview of the historical, social, and ethical context of computing and computer science as a discipline. The course includes an embedded programming laboratory component. No prior programming or computer science experience is required. Prerequisite(s): None. (3)
