HIST 3150 - Ancient Mediterranean Explores the main historical developments of Mediterranean civilizations from their origins in the Bronze Age (ca. 2000 B.C.) through the decline of imperial Rome (ca. 400). Considers the mutual influence of civilizations of the Mediterranean littoral, cultural and political developments of Greece and Rome, and the rise of Christianity. Fulfills history major requirement for three upper-level credits of European History. Prerequisite: 3 credits of HIST. (3)
