HIST 1810 - Human Rights in Global History This course addresses civilizations across the globe since ancient times and the ways they viewed basic human rights. Topics include: the development of individualism and the definition of basic human rights; the Enlightenment; the intersections between religion and societal ideas of human rights; organizations like the U.N.; and the challenges of defending human rights in modern times.
