MDLS 4231 - Clinical Microscopy Lab Lectures on the physiology, metabolism, and pathogenesis of medically important bacteria with emphasis on their isolation and identification in the clinical laboratory. Practicum consists of discussions, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises performed in the clinical laboratory designed to familiarize the student with the principles, procedures, and interpretation of general and advanced techniques as applied to urinalysis and body fluid laboratories. Includes principals of instrumentation and methods of laboratory quality control. Prerequisite(s): All 3000-level MDLS courses with grades of “C” or better. (1)
