DGHU 3385 - Civil Rights Movement in the United States(AADS 3385 , HIST 3385 , and XCOR 3010 ). Examines the major civil rights campaigns that took place throughout the U.S. from 1950 to1975. Focuses on strategies, objectives, successes and failures of civil rights leaders and organizations. Special emphasis on civil rights protests and movements in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana. Fulfills history major requirement for three upper-level credits of African American History. Prerequisite: 3 credits of HIST. (3, EXPLORATIONS/African American Heritage and Legacies)
