SOCI 4080 - Race, Class and Gender Inequality(WMST 4080 ) This course is about social inequality. It addresses the causes and effects of crystallized, historical, institutional, procedural, systemic, unequal distribution of desirable but scarce values among ranked population groupings (social strata), with major attention given to this social phenomenon within urban industrial society. Prerequisites: Any 1000 level sociology course or WMST 1020, and junior or senior standing or instructor’s permission. (3)
