SOCI 1015 - Popular Culture and Society

This course examines the intersection of popular culture, society, and the individual. It provides students with the opportunity to gain a base, introductory sociological understanding of the role of popular culture in local settings, youth subcultures, American society, consumer culture, and the burgeoning globalization of popular culture, most notably through the rapid growth of technology and its enormous social impact.
