PHIL 1030 - Great Books in Philosophy This course introduces the student to philosophy using the original writings of several philosophers from the classical to the contemporary periods. The goals of this course include developing the student’s capacity for critical reading, writing, and thinking, with a general consideration of the nature, methods, and cultural impact of philosophy. This is an Introductory Course. A student may not take more than one of these courses to satisfy core curriculum requirements (PHIL 1030-PHIL 1070 ). Prerequisite: Completion of any required developmental Reading course. (3, FaSp)
