ENGL 2040 - Critical Approaches to Literature Introduction to literary research including survey of theoretical approaches (examples: Historicism, Structuralism, Gender Studies, Reader-Response, Psychoanalytic, Race and Ethnic, Digital Humanities). Course serves as the foundation to all other advanced literature courses offered in the department. Required of all English majors. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1010 -ENGL 1020 or ENGL 1023H -ENGL 2011H .
