EDEL 3050B - Methods and Materials in the Teaching of Reading

At the completion of this course, the student will be able to develop and implement a comprehensive classroom reading program. A balanced literacy approach that focuses on the five core components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension is emphasized.
