PHAD 4210 - Pharmacy in Public Health This course offers students an introduction to the principles of public health and their application to the field of pharmacy. Students will be introduced to the history of public health; the role and use of epidemiology; community health promotion and planning; building cultural competence; characteristics of local and state public health infrastructure; aspects of emergency preparedness; and the unique role of pharmacy in advancing the aims of public health. Prerequisites: Admission to the College of Pharmacy. (2, Fa or Sp)
